I AM COURT-ORDERED, WHAT NEXT?
You will have an over-the-phone intake with an anger management specialist. At this time you will be asked the details of your charges and the situation. You will provide lawyer, court, and probation/parole officer information to the anger management specialist and sign consent forms (on the first day of classes) for your information to be shared. At your request an attendance record can be provided upon completion of the course. Upon completion of the court you will be awarded a certificate of completion. If any other letters are needed, such as confirmation of registration/completion letters, then an addition charge will be applied.
Other than all of this technical stuff, just sit back and get ready to learn in a relaxed and fun environment! When you come to the class nobody will know who is, from who isn't, court-mandated to attend. You are allowed to share this information with the group, but you are not forced to do so.

ARE YOUR COURSES COURT-APPROVED?
We are very proud to announce that we have 100% approval rates in both family and criminal courts. Although The Anger Managers strive to make sure that you are the right fit for the course, it is ultimately up to you to make sure that you are in the right type of course to fulfill your court mandating. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please call us to discuss your personal situation with an anger manager.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN MY UPCOMING CLASS?
All group classes provided by The Anger Managers are psycho-educational, course based classes. You can expect to arrive, sign forms, and receive your course materials. Throughout the course, be it a one-day course, or a ten-week course, you can expect to be taught in an interactive classroom setting. There are no counselling circles, tissues or smashing things involved in our courses. On the contrary, we are open and honest about our anger situations and are able to laugh about the reality of anger explosions, while learning how to control our anger.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN MY UPCOMING FAMILY/COUPLES SESSION?
Family and couple anger management therapies are client-based. You can expect a specialist to come to your home and help you and your family or partner through your anger situations. You will be taught many techniques to help you both within your relationship and for your own personal growth.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN MY UPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SESSION
Individual anger management therapies are both course based and client based. You will receive a manual and work through the course material but you will have the opportunity to share your personal anger experiences with your specialist, who will help you work through the issue and give you new techniques to use.
ARE COURSE MATERIALS INCLUDED?
All course materials are included in the fees, when you schedule a 10-hour course. If you are participating on a pay-as-you-go, hourly basis then you will have to purchase the manual and any letters or certificates which you need.
WILL I RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE WHEN I FINISH?
Yes, when you successfully complete the course you will receive a certificate of completion. Letters, reports and correspondence of confirmations are also available at an additional cost.
