Domestic Violence Program in Lieu of the PAR PROGRAM (Partner Assault Response)
A PAR Program is a psycho-educational program which couples education and counselling to help clients who display controlling, violent and abusive behaviours towards their intimate partners. PAR Programs are taught across Ontario by providers approved by the province.
The Anger Managers provide a court-approved PAR Program / Domestic Violence program in Parry Sound on a one-on-one, private basis. The Anger Managers' present a program that is based on The Duluth Model of Domestic Violence and that is pre-approved by the court.
Court-Approved
The Domestic Violence Program alternative to the PAR (Partner Assault Response) Program offered by The Anger Managers is court-approved. All alternative PAR programs in Ontario are subject to court-approval, so The Anger Managers will provide you with a Letter of Intent to provide the Crown Attorney who will then pre-approve our program.
